Debbie began singing in bands in high school. She has been singing & playing keyboard for over 25 years. Moving from San Antonio to Dallas , in the late 70's, Debbie decided it would be fun to create an all girl band named the Paper Dolls. Debbie helped form a variety band called the Dal – Tones which played throughout the 80's & 90's. The Dal – Tones played Billy Bob's in Fort Worth & were the house band, 6 nights a week at the Top of the Dome,in the prestigious Dallas landmark Reunion Tower. In the early 90's Debbie took on Nashville. Justin Tubb, son of the late country legend Ernest Tubb, invited Debbie to Nashville & to the Grand Ol' Opry. Debbie sang numerous times at the Ernest Tubb Midnight Jambouree where legends such as Patsy Cline & Loretta Lynn started their careers. Debbie also sang all over Texas with Justin Tubb & his band. After taking a short music break, Debbie moved back to San Antonio & joined LIVE FROM TEXAS.

Jim was born in Williamsport, PA in 1949 and started playing and singing with his older brother and two sisters at an early age. He played his first professional gig, on bass guitar, at age 15 in a band called The Jesters and has been in and out of a variety of bands ever since. He moved to San Antonio in 1975 and played in several bands such as Sparrowhawk, Gill C. and the Bunkhouse Boys, Sure Shot, Truce and finally joined Live From Texas in 1990. His bass playing ranges from mellow Acoustic Style, Country and Western Swing all the way through harder Rock & Roll. He also sings various leads vocals and backup harmonies.

Kenny started playing guitar and singing when he was 9 after seeing The Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show. He later took up pedal steel guitar. Kenny played both instruments in several different local bands such as Stillwater, Gold Rush Mountain Band, The Skidz and Next Exit. He took up drums when he, Mark and Van were putting a band together in the mid 80's and couldn't find a drummer. "I'll do it till we find someone else." 20 years later, he is still at it. Self taught, he brings a number of influences to his style of playing. From Big Band to Country to 50's and 60's Rock. Kenny has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with artists such as Asleep at the Wheel, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Leon Russell, Peter Frampton and others. Most of the members of Live From Texas have worked together in other bands over the last 30 years. This gives them a great understanding of each others varied musical styles and influences. This also makes for a great combination of music from the 40's to the present.

Sherry has been singing professionally since 1977. She has been a member of several local musical groups including Next Exit, Gold Rush Mountain Band, Stillwater, Skizzy and the Skidmarks, The Skidz and most recently Live From Texas. She has opened for such artists as Peter Frampton, Leon Russell, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Asleep at the Wheel. She has performed a variety of music including Western Swing, Modern and Classic Country, Pop, Classic Rock and a variety of 50's and 60's hits.

Mark plays guitar with a raw emotion that translates into a very soulful sound. Rarely playing anything exactly the same way twice, it's a new show every time he steps on stage, which helps the band with a fresh new sound, even when playing old standard songs. Whether playing blistering fast leads or the smooth sounds of jazz chords, the best way to describe his sound is pure ear candy.

It was listening to Roy Orbison records, in the mid-60's, when the light came on for Van to ask mom "Can I learn how to play the guitar?". As the years rolled on Van was in several popular 60's and 70's rock bands. After seeing Asleep at the Wheel perform Choo Choo Cha Boogie, in the late 70's on Austin City Limits, he was hooked on western swing. After 1 ½ years with the Gold Rush Mountain Band Van picked up the steel guitar. Next Exit was then formed with Kenny, Mark & Sherry. Two tours of duty with the Krayolas & a seven year stint with the Trim Hunters/Barracudas in the 80's, then two of the best 60's bands around, lead to the formation of LIVE FROM TEXAS in 1991. Fourteen years & hundreds of gigs later, the band is going strong & better than ever.
